The Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) said: "He who wants to see Noah in his determination, Adam in his knowledge, Abraham in his clemency, Moses in his intelligence and Jesus in his religious devotion should look at Ali Ibn Abi Talib ."
- Sahih al-Bayhaqi
- Musnad Ahmad Ibn Hanbal
- Sharh Ibn Abi al-Hadid, v2, p449
- Tafsir al-Kabir, by Fakhruddin al-Razi, under the commentary of the Verse of Impreciation (Mubilah), v2 p288. Well brother, i couldn't find anything similar in "Musnad", and as i know there is no such book like "Saheeh" Beyhaki. As for ibn Ebil-Hedid, he was shii and motathelee.
Something close to that narration i found in "Tareekh madinatool Dimashk" (42/313)by ibn Athakeer:
(Chain): "Who wants to see Adam in his knowledge, Noah in his understanding, Ibraheem in his clemency, Yahya ibn Zakariya in his detachment from this world, Moosa ibn Imran in his cruelty, let him watch to Ali ibn Abu Taleeb".
Ibn Arrak al-Kinanee in "Tanziru sharia" (1/384/№109) said:
"Narrated by Abu Hamra, mawla of prophet. In the chain is Abu Umar Azdee and he's matrook".
Sheikh Albani in "Silsila ad daifa" vol 10, #4903 said this narration is fabricated.
Shawkane in "Fawaid majmua" wrote:
"Narrated by Hakeem from Abu Hamra in "marfu" form. Ibn Jawzee said: "Fabricated, in the chain Abu Umar Azdee, matrook".
Ibn Katheer rejected this narration and said that chain is weak in "Bidaya wa nihaya" vol 7.
Wa Allahu Alam
“Every prophet has an executor and inheritor, and my executor and inheritor is Ali"
Albani in "Silsila ad daifa" #4962 said it's fabricated.
Dhahabi in "Mizanul itidal" (1/273) said it's lie.
Suyoote in "Leal al masnua" (1/359) said it's fabrication.
Ibn Jawzi in "Mawduat" (2/150) said it's not authentic.
Juwzakani in "Abateel" (2/188) said it's false report.
Narrator Umar ibn Rabea Abu Rabea is munkar al hadeeth. (Mizan 3/196/#6106).
It was also reported by Ibn Asaaker in Tareeh.
In the chain same Rabea, but not alone. Ali ibn Mujahid also abandoned. He use to fabricate narrations as ibn Muin said.
Wa Allahu Alam.
